Wo Poughkeepsie liegt, hätte ich mich nie gefragt, wäre es nicht die Heimatstadt von "Against The Current". Die 2011 gegründete Band um Sängerin "Chrissy" Constanza und Sänger Dan Gow war schon 2018 auf Europatournee und ihr Cover des Stückes "Uptown Funk" (im Original von Mark Ronson) wäre allein ein Grund gewesen, ein Ticket zu kaufen. Verpasst! Deswegen hole ich euch "Against The Current" stattdessen auf das Handy oder, besser, euren riesigen Bildschirm. Und damit ihr noch etwas lernt dabei: Poughkeepsie liegt im US-Staat New York, hat rund 76.000 Einwohner und der Name bedeutet so viel wie "Lager am Fluss" :-)
